Director of Investments
Jim Broderick joined Duphiney Financial Network as the Director of Investments in October 2024. In this role, Jim is responsible for chairing the investment committee, conducting manager due diligence, and monitoring risk across portfolios.
Jim brings with him an impressive array of qualifications and industry designations, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA™), and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS™). He is also currently pursuing the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is working on level 3.
With over 15 years of experience in portfolio management, research, and trading, Jim's expertise greatly complements our team of financial advisors. He enhances our core focus on financial planning and advice with his keen insight into the latest investment trends and wealth management strategies. As he leads our Investment Committee, Jim's passion for financial market research will be instrumental in driving our investment strategy forward. Jim's proficiency in manager selection and investment analysis aligns seamlessly with our established approach that prioritizes asset allocation, contrarian positioning, and robust risk controls. Previously Jim worked for large advisory teams at Northwestern Mutual as well as serving as the Director of Investment Research and Trading at Magnus Financial, a New York City Based Registered Investment advisor.
Jim is a registered representative, holding Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Caldwell University.
Jim lives in Cedar Knolls, NJ, with his wife, Gabriella, and their daughter, Charlotte and Bernedoodle, Chloe. In his free time, he enjoys reading investment biographies, playing pickup soccer, running, working out, snowboarding, and following professional sports.
